My research activities commenced in 1994 and include subjects in the fields of thermo-fluids, intrinsically smart materials as well as design and optimisation. Currently my principle research interests are:
1. Simulation and Design of Aeroelastic Tailored Structures
A particular advantage of using composite materials is that the various elastic couplings, which are the result of the specific lay-up and fibre orientations, can be induced in the structure made of such materials. These structural couplings can have favourable influences on the aeroelastic behaviour of the aero-structures such as wings, control effectors and rotor blades. 3. Designer Decision Support Systems for Multidisciplinary Design Problems
