I obtained my BSc in Mechanical Engineering-Design in 1992 from Shiraz University (Shiraz-Iran) and my MSc in Mechanical Engineering-Energy Conversion from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran-Iran) in 1995. I was awarded my PhD in Mechanical Engineering-Computational Mechanics from the University of the West of England (UWE) (Bristol-UK) in 2006.
After finishing my MSc, I worked as a full-time lecturer in the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering, Sattari University (Tehran-Iran) for two years before establishing Mahan-Mehr Engineering Company, the manufacturer of the engineering laboratory testing equipment, in 1998 . I worked there as managing director, designer and manufacturing supervisor until starting my PhD in 2003 at the University of the West of England-Bristol.
Parallel to my full-time job at Sattari University and Mahan-Mehr Company, I worked continuously as a part-time lecturer at the department of Civil Engineering, Azad University-Lar Branch until 2003. I was appointed Visiting Lecturer in the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Mathematical Sciences, UWE-Bristol during September 2004 to December 2006. In January 2007 I joined the Aerospace Vehicle Architecture and Design Integration (AVADI) Research and Teaching Group, Department of Aerospace Engineering, University of Bristol. Presently, I am working on the EU FP6 funded project, SimSAC (Simulating Aircraft Stability and Control Characteristics for Use in Conceptual Design).
